Because it's a free experience, it's hard to complain, but owning a PSVR I recently got the chance to play a free experience promoting the "The Last Guardian". Halo is an iconic video game brand and frankly deserved something a little better. I now rate this up there close to Skyrim for my most anticipated VR games.Ī full Halo game has not been confirmed but I saw a clip of the CEO of 343 Industries talking in Altspace about Halo and she seem to indicate they were working on a full game. If the full game feels this solid and polished it should be a killer of a game. Just focus on gunplay and not on the fact you’re only shooting targets on a 2D screen. Often holding and firing a gun in VR feels awkward and disconnected but not with this. The gunplay, as short as it, is the best I’ve felt in VR yet. Maybe it is because it is native or has so little going on that efficient programming was easy but I’m really impressed with how solid, smooth and accurate the mechanics are. It is not a game, it is a 10 minute tease to whet our appetites about the possibility of a full Halo VR game and in this respect it hits the mark. To judge it as a game is missing the point. I decided to give it a spin last night and my take on this app is completely different. Im super proud and will make sure that my baby boy understands all his Daddy did for our country.After seeing several VR talking heads dump all over it, I had never bothered to download Halo Recruit. I'm from a military family and fully understand the sacrifice that these men and woman make on a daily basis and the effects that can last a lifetime. There is life and a good one to be had after a career in the Armed forces. With his qualifications that he had achieved in the RAF he got a job as a Engineer surveyor with Bureau Veritas and is going from strength to strength. (something he had missed out on with his older two, nautre of being in a job that requires you to tour). Along with having some precious time with our beautiful baby boy.
He took sometime out to adjust to civilian life and whilst he was figuring out what step to take next he did some temporary driving work for Halo Resourcing. This photo was taken this time last year when Ian was leaving. Ian served in the RAF for a monumental 22 years.
