Ditch it & buy a proper PC & get back to working & earning money.I agree, I love ChromeOS but if your trying to use it mainly for another ecosystem (Windows office) and its not working its going to be best using something that has office native.

Stop wating time & money on the Chromebook. My replacement, it updates to Windows Pro for free, has the decent Windows 10 mail client built-in, OneDrive just works, it does run Linux Mint, but it's not a Mac: £150 Tablet computing doesn't work for me either, due to vast amount of wordy output needed.Ĭhromebooks do have their place, but then, so do other platforms. Some of the C/books can run Linux (Mint) which has a Thunderbird client built in, but again, a Mac or Windows 10 laptop will always be much more flexible. It came to pass that a £150 Asus Windows 10 'tough' 12" laptop was a much more versatile tool, certainly in our Windows-centric office, and that instead of faffing trying to get the ChromeBook working well with big complex documents it was easier to replace the thing.

The OutLook Android app on a smartphone, along with OneDrive does work well though. (Three OutLook accounts, a OneDrive account, both synced to phones.) I can't help with the Chromebook other than to add they didn't work for me either. Getting very close to sticking it on ebay and just buying an iPad Pro with a BT keyboard instead. Has anybody managed to do it properly, and if so, how? I have no problems using the Android Outlook client on my phone, yet nothing works properly on my Chromebook. I found an app called App for Outlook which is supposed to allow you multiple Outlook accounts in a container app, but it's not been updated for 5 years and as soon as you change to a different "profile" and back you have to log in again. Using direct links to the email pages I have to log in with my credentials each time as Chrome won't let you be logged into several accounts concurrently. The Chromebook Outlook "app" just looks like an Office 365 web page and actually tells me that my Office365 accounts are not valid! I have been using the Android Outlook client on my Chromebook which has worked but is a bit clunky (if I want to attach a file it will only let me do it from the root directory (which you're not supposed to be able to access on a Chromebook!). I have several Office 365 email addresses accounts through different workplaces, and a personal MS OneDrive account.

My living nightmare which is trying to use a Chromebook for productivity continues.
